Sincere question - how many web browser tabs do you keep open at any given time? Is 10 obscene? I actually fear closing out a tab because that tab holds an idea/thought/purchase I don’t want to forget. I digress…
I’ve finally gotten around to reading this book about how to motivate young people, specifically ages 10-25. As far as I can tell, all the things we were taught about “compliment sandwiches” and the like are really ineffective with our preteens/teens and we need to give them a perception of status and respect to inspire their best. It’s a lot of little anecdotes so far but I’ll keep you posted.
I recently had to re-order flossers for Isabel because a brand new container just *had* to be used for a Barbie dream house project. That thing is an absolute eyesore but if it keeps holding her interest for hours each week, I don’t care.
We had a short snap of gorgeous warm weather last week and it has me anxiously awaiting spring planting. My petunias and sweet potato vine thrived best in full sun last year and I’m waiting to see if the phlox I planted will come through (the first perennial I’ve planted at this house). I also have a stretch of dead rocks/earth behind our pool rock wall that I’m planning to flood with topsoil and seed with wildflowers. It’s a rougher terrain back there and I think the spontaneity of wildflowers will look really pretty in that spot.
I planted a few herbs and veggies in a little greenhouse starter kit and I think I need to plant more cucumbers because it’s just so fun to see how fast those grow. The girls and I have big plans to make our own pickles and salsa this summer.
Friday I’m headed to Daytona Beach to spend the weekend with my grandfather and a couple of my cousins. He’s big into the Daytona 500 so we’ll get to see a few races this weekend. Not a sport I’d normally prioritize attending but it’s actually really fun and this will be the third year I’ve been able to go. I love a chance to share my travel faves and you can find them here.
I’ve stopped buying cut flowers recently and have been picking up potted tulips from Target. They’re only $8 and last a good two weeks so I feel pretty thrifty. I just take the wrapper off the pot and stick it in a small, pretty planter and I swear having fresh flowers in the house makes a nicer person.
With that, these people need to be fed. A -freaking - gain.

10 to 25 sounds like an interesting read - immediately added to the to-read list!
Confession: I usually have dozens of tabs open on multiple browsers. My big thing is Inbox Zero.. I am militant with emails.
Too many open tabs make me break out in a rash, lol. I am a diligent bookmarker. I bookmark sites I want to come back too, and even create folders for similar topics. Add to Reading List works too, but isn’t as easy to organize. I then make it a point to review the bookmarks a couple times a week so I don’t forget about them.
