With just two weeks between us and summer vacation, I’m in high gear finishing house projects that have long been on my to do list, but required the impending summer break to motivate me to get moving while I have some kid free days left
Isabel has been asking to switch her room from pink to blue like her big sister for months and I finally just bought the paint (and stencil and curtains) and knocked it out this week. There are a few little things to touch up and add but the major work of painting and stenciling is done.

I’ve been restocking our Bored Box as part of my summer prep (there’s a highlight on Insta I will keep adding to). I’m also keeping and updating this list with things I’ve purchased or think would make great additions to a summer busy box.
If your kids haven’t discovered Scrubbies yet, they are amazing and Isabel still loves them at 8 and I have packed a couple into our summer box. Isa loves to use them poolside and I’ve got some workbooks, colored pencils, puzzles, and other things ready to keep these two busy without being screen zombies for three months.

New pillows are something I actually hate spending money on. I’m not sure why, but we finally needed something different for our primary bedroom. Ryan is super picky about pillows and loves memory foam, so I grabbed these based on the rave reviews.
I also noticed our giant bean bags from the playroom at on decent sale right now so I’m linking those since I get asked about them often.

I’ve got plans to throw a pool party for the middle school girls to celebrate the end of the school year as we’ve done the last two years, but this year I’m making it extra fun with a late night and glow in the dark theme. I always tell Ryan that I want to be the house the kids want to spend time at, so I consider this another effort in that vein. I need to buckle down and iron out those details because having 400 glow sticks sitting in my office isn’t really enough. Off to Canva I go - have a wonderful weekend!
