Holiday Prep Course Week 8
we did it! did we?
Even though I knew it would, I’m still surprised at how quickly eight weeks can fly by! I know it felt outrageously early when we first began, but here we are and November is starting to wind down.
For this last official week, keep shopping and use these last days before Thanksgiving if you’re able to catch up on any items from the previous weeks that may have slipped through the cracks.
Feeling overwhelmed? I get it. I’m not even hosting Thanksgiving and my mind is spinning because the school calendar is rapidly filling up, recitals are being penciled in, and the travel booking is underway for us. If you’re feeling like there’s too much to do, and not enough time, please remember that it’s okay to simplify.
I would bet good money that most of us can only name a handful of gifts we received as children or could tell you what gift our moms gave the bus drivers. This time of year should really be about cozy time making memories with the people we love and trying to put a smile on the faces of the people we cross paths with. If the noise is too great, and the to do list feels too long, unplug from social, turn off the ads on tv, and just drown out the noise and the extras…they’ll still be there next year.
If you need a quick page to jump to…
Here’s what I’m doing for low cost gifts for friends and other people who aren’t on my main gifting list.
I rounded up my favorite wrapping things here and gave some suggestions on how to store/manage your gifts and wrapping in this post.
My favorite, easy way to spread holiday cheer.
Details on what we’re gifting teachers are in this post.
I’ll be back on 12.1 to remind you to get those holiday cards in the mail and will be on Instagram, obviously sharing miscellaneous finds until then!
